James Bigley is always on the search of unique properties in Texas This property fits the bill in so many ways. It attracted a visit when I read it was abandoned and to be cautious when showing the property due to broken glass etc.

Nestled on top of a hill with sweeping views, the owner of this 30 acre property once had major dreams for this property. Construction started on this 5500+ sq ft, 5 bed, 5+1 bath, in 2001. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into the property due to the ornate stone work and the grand outlay of the property. I can imagine they were not going to spare anything on this build.

According to the listing agent construction suddenly halted when the property was vandalized some time ago. From what has been said a group of people came through the property and shot out many of expensive windows out of the property. Once this was done the owner lost all interest in the property and it has been in stale state ever since.

Location: The property is a few minutes out of Boerne Texas. The location of the home to be built was to take advantage of the sweeping views. The hill has a commanding view miles in the West. Check out the drone footage and videos. Of course these videos do not do it justice.

From what I saw it was a 5 bed, 5 bath and half, home with over 5500+ sq ft, 3 fireplaces, large rooms, vaulted ceilings, etc. The architecture throughout the house is very unique and changes throughout the exterior of the property. Not only rock is used, but large limestone pieces, and even mosaics exist. Per video, the property needs lots of work. All electricity, plumbing, for the most part has been ran.
